“Maisie was a total gem from start to finish. She communicated well with us from the beginning about what we wanted, where and how. We don’t really like having our photograph taken and were not going to have a photographer, but decided last minute to book Maisie for our wedding as we were worried we would regret it, we are so glad we did. All the things we worried about, missing our wedding to do endless photos, posed unnatural pictures, Maisie avoided. We had a mixture of candid and some posed but not overly directed. Maisie thought of things that we hadn’t and encapsulated the day perfectly. A lovely, approachable lady with a great eye for what works. We would highly recommend Maisie for any occasion.”

“Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to Maisie for capturing every special, beautiful and intimate moment of our big day.
From when I first booked Maisie to be our wedding photographer she immediately wanted to understand the layout of the wedding and all about our venue. She even traveled from Yorkshire to Hertfordshire to see our venue a few weeks before the wedding. Maisie was in contact with me a few weeks before the wedding, we both had the same vision for the wedding photos. As a candid photographer I didn’t have to give her a lot of direction for the day, all I wanted was natural images. I felt very confident after all our conversations and with all the other stresses of organising our wedding I never got worried about the photography. On our big day Maisie was very professional, I felt very relaxed when seeing Maisie during our ceremony and wedding party, it was very natural. My wedding day went within a blink of an eye, and then I received our photos I was so excited to see them and I wasn’t disappoint. After a couple of weeks after our wedding Maisie send our first samples, beautifully presented in a box.
Once seeing my wedding photos with my family we all lived the day over again which I never thought would happen. Maisie captured every magical and beautiful moment of our special day.

“Maisie carried out a photo session for my Wife's 80th birthday celebration with all our family at The Grange, Flamborough. It was originally meant to be on the beach but hat was changed due to the weather.
We were all impressed with Maisie's professionalism and what a lovely lady she is.
Dealing with 16 of us with very varying ages plus three dogs could not have been easy but it was no probem for Maisie.
I am not technically able to put photos here but can say that we are delighted with the results.

“I would highly recommend Maisie Banks, she is an amazing photographer with an eye for perfection. I have used many photographers over the years and I would definitely ask Maisie to do another one. She captured the individuality of all of my children and it is definitely hard to choose which one’s to get printed for my walls.
One of my boys asked “When could he do it again, as it was so much fun!”. I was concerned how my youngest child would respond, as she can be shy with strangers, however, she felt very comfortable around Maisie.
I was a little concerned at first, as I’ve always had photos taken in a studio, however, her candid style of photography was amazing way to capture my children having fun. Maisie has gone above and beyond in my expectations, capturing beautiful photos and they felt very relaxed. Maisie’s has taken photos, that every time I look at them, make me smile. Maisie is a very talented photographer, with an eye for detail in creating the perfect picture.

“Maisie is amazing!!
We were given some money as a gift before our son was born to have a newborn photoshoot done, so i did some research of local photographers and when i found Maisie's instagram and website the work she had done looked exactly what we were looking for very informal but still capturing the most important shots! I didnt know anyone that had used Maisie before but i knew that she was going to be the best person for capturing the special newborn picture s in a relaxed way!
I am so so pleased i went with my instinct as soon as i made contact with Maisie she couldn't have been any more helpful. When we met it was like we already knew her, she was so friendly and nothing was a problem, when Fergus needing feeding or cried she was so patient and waited to capture the perfect moment, we spent 3 hours together and wow, what amazing pictures she captured so special, we cant thank her enough. The hardest part was choosing which was our favourite picture as we loved them all!! Once we had chosen our favourites Maisie had the images delivered to us so promptly!
I would 110% ask Maisie to do more photos for us and highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a friendly, relaxed person to photograph your newborn!

“I was lucky enough to win a family photo shoot with Maisie and I honestly can't believe my luck! What could have been an absolute disaster following a melt down from a very unhappy 3 year old who fell in the mud before the shoot even started was eventually thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Maisie was very friendly and fantastic with my children, putting us all at ease and making us feel comfortable. At times it was easy to forget Maisie was there to take photographs as the whole experience was so fun and laid back due to the trust she built with us all and the candid style of photography Maisie offers.

“I contacted Maisie to arrange a family shoot. It was a very sensitive request as I wanted to include my eldery horse before she was put to rest.
Maisie was AMAZING! She was so lovely In email, being very respectful of the matter and extremely accommodating for my wishes.
On the day she was so friendly and my boys absolutely LOVED her, they still talk about her months afterwards. During the shoot we went about our business as a family and Maisie just went with the flow, which for us was led by our boys, and documented our time together.
The pictures are just lovely, like so so lovely they tell the story of our time with Maisie in such a relaxed manner and truth be told I had a hard time choosing which ones to have up in our house. The picture film made me cry it just brought so many emotions with all the gorgeous pictures put together.
Even when Maisie delivered our pictures on a beautiful wooden USB it was done in such a thoughtful way with a selection of prints and even some lavender in with them that smelt amazing when I opened the envelope.
In short if you are looking for someone to book a photoshoot with I would 100% recommend Maisie and should we want another shoot I will be contacting her again.
